Most cleaning company owners are completely and utterly convinced that there's nothing they could do to effectively CONTROL how many new contract cleaning customers they receive monthly or annually.

No way, they think. The competitors will undercut those reasonable prices in a second... and the customer is bound to pick a cheaper option. After all, cleaning is cleaning, so why pay more for it if you don't have to, right?

Hmm... well, there is both good and bad news for you here.

The bad news is that if YOU believe that it's impossible to find better-paying contract cleaning customers at will (or, at least, decisively INFLUENCE the number of new clients), then it will be impossible for you.

However, the fact that you're actually READING this article shows that you don't believe it's totally impossible... why would you bother reading it if you did?

And here's the good news: The fact that vast majority of your COMPETITORS firmly believe it's impossible to do anything effective to increase the number of clients or profits thereof is your best guarantee that...

...they'll continue sitting on their hands passively, leaving the field for YOU to work on!

Since the belief about the impossibility of actively influencing the number of new cleaning clients (and profits thereof) is so widespread, if YOU had a system to do so... well, you would probably have your own area to yourself without contest, right?

 

It is possible to influence the number of new cleaning sites as well as increase your profit margin through higher pricing of quotes...

...but that's not the same thing as saying it would be EASY TO FIND a way to do it.

In fact, it was one of the most difficult nuts to crack for our experts.

It took a team of dedicated marketing experts more than three years of full-time research, testing, and then another couple of years of piloting with 50 cleaning companies for years just to find the way.

Let's face it: If something that's this worthwhile would be easy to find... well, then everyone would have found it and everyone would be using it... in which case it would be worthless again.

For as you well know, the effective weapon in competition is to have an advantage that most competitors don't have, right?

To put it another way: Methods which are "universally accepted and approved of" — which can only be achieved if the MAJORITY of the industry already uses those methods — have already lost their edge and efficiency as EVERYONE is using them.

To get to that point, a system will have to have been in use for DECADES.

Consequently, the methods most cleaning companies currently use for prospecting and selling their services were, in fact, developed in the 1950's. Those methods have been spruced up and re-polished many times by various experts... but they're the same old methods regardless.

Yet, to make a difference in competition you must use something new and different... something which is still NEW despite having been tested and proven in use by a small number of pioneering cleaning companies.

No use repeating the same old sales claims that everyone else is using. It's not that you're lying... it's only the facility managers DISBELIEVE those claims. After all, they've heard the same claims SO many times... and found them to be "untruthful."

"Untruthful" in the sense that they've trusted one cleaning company after another and they've been DISAPPOINTED in every single one.

After a while, they become cynical. They begin to think along these lines: "Oh, ALL cleaning companies promise the earth but, at the end of the day, deliver just the same..."

Therefore, IF you use the same type of sales approach as your competitors, you're automatically putting yourself in the same boat with them: Your claims, too, are disbelieved... and there's no hope in hell to get a higher quote accepted.

Can you see what it looks like when seen from the viewpoint of facility managers?

Obviously, it's not fair and it's not the ultimate truth in the matter in terms of your services. No doubt you deliver a good service. But no one will believe it if you approach them with traditional marketing and sales methods!

Just as obviously, delivering excellent cleaning service will bring you new clients EVENTUALLY... but the word-of-mouth method is a very slow train coming. There's little you can do to speed it up. There's little you can do to CONTROL the rate with which new clients are acquired.

Thus, if you WANT to control the number of new clients, the speed with which these are obtained AND increase your profits through pricing, you need a new system that has been TESTED and PROVEN.

Obviously, taking a new system onboard will always be a leap of faith to some degree. Despite being tested and proven by a select number of colleagues, there's still some uncertainty in the beginning before you find out for yourself whether it works for you.

But the great thing is that IF you take that step, you'll find that it will give you an almost unfair advantage in competition. Since the majority of businesses in any industry are "followers" (those who daren't do anything unless everyone else has tried it and succeeded), you won't have to fear anyone catching up very fast, will you?
